  • Cull: To cull fish, dispose of ill, or inferior fish.

  • Culls: A fish called a cull, or a group of fish called culls.

  • Feeder Fish: inferior stock, fed to bigger fish.

  • ABS: Adult brine shrimp - live shrimps, often fed to guppies.

  • Fry: baby guppies, newborn up to 3 months.

  • Drop: a mother guppy drops her fry, a guppy giving birth, A litter of fry

  • Ich: a common fish disease - white spots appear over fish

  • Strain: a certain color of a guppy, bred to make a certain coloration - I.e. H/B Blue, Yellow Cobra, Gold Bodied Red
